Lake Columbia

Tuesday, April 25, 2017 2:26 PM

Bream fishing is excellent as the water warms and the fish become more active in shallow waters near shore.  A new bluegill record was set on April 15th, 2017.  They can be caught using crickets or worms in shallow waters and around structure.  Anglers fishing for bass should use watermelon seed or junebug colored soft plastics or jerkbaits fished near the lily pads. Anglers can catch crappie around deeper structures using live minnows and black jigs.  Catfish are being caught with liver fished on the bottom.

Water Temp: 77°F

Visibility: 36"
