Lake Columbia

Monday, March 20, 2017 11:58 AM

Bass and Crappie fishing are both picking up as the fish continue to bed.  Anglers fishing for bass should use watermelon seed or junebug colored soft plastics or jerkbaits fished near the lily pads. Anglers can catch crappie around deeper structures using live minnows and black jigs or along structure near shore as they are staging up to spawn. Bream fishing is good in and around deeper structures using red worms or crickets fished close to the bottom. Catfish are being caught with liver fished on the bottom.
