Bass fishing is slowing down at the lake. Try fishing crankbaits, swim baits, and topwater lures.

Bream fishing is starting to pick up.  Jeff Davis has some healthy Redear Sunfish.  Earthworms fished on the bottom should produce some fish.

Currently there are no reports on crappie.  Try fishing jigs tipped with small minnows in 10 to 15 feet of water.

Currently there are no reports on catfish. Liver, nightcrawlers, or commercial stinkbaits work well fished on the bottom.

Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks Fisheries Biologists use various sampling methods to assess the fish populations in the State’s waters.   Sampling results for selected water bodies are summarized in Reel Facts Sheets.
