Fishing Report

Water Temp: 88°

Visibility: 47"

Largemouth bass can be caught in the lily pads in back of the lake, around the spillway and in deep waters from a boat.  Try watermelon colored plastic worms, topwater lures and flukes.

Bream are starting to bite around the piers and in the pads near the back of the lake.  Fishermen are having the most luck on live worms.

Catfish can be caught with worms or livers fished on the bottom in the old creek channels.  They are starting to bite well around the piers as well.

Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks fisheries biologists use various sampling methods to assess the fish populations in the State’s waters.   Sampling results for selected water bodies are summarized in Reel Facts Sheets.
