Fascinated with Fossils
The North Mississippi Fish Hatchery Visitor Education Center (VEC) adjacent to Enid Lake will host a Fascinated with Fossils program on Saturday, April 6th at 2:00 p.m.
Mississippi's soil holds many secrets to the past. Jill Smith, Director of the Union County Heritage Museum in New Albany will visit the VEC and present a program on unique fossil finds in Union County. The Heritage Museum collects, researches, and preserves artifacts and materials as they relate to this county's heritage. If you are fascinated with fossils and want to learn more about creatures that no longer walk the earth, mark your calendar!
Admission is $2.50 for adults ages 18-59, and $2.00 for youth ages 3-17 and adults over the age of 60. If you have any questions, call the VEC at (662) 563-8068.
The VEC is part of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks and is located at Exit 233, east off I-55.
