MDWFP and MSU to Host Wild Turkey and Bobwhite Quail Workshop in Corinth
JACKSON - The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and
Parks and Mississippi State University Extension Service will offer
an educational workshop for those interested in managing wild
turkey and bobwhite quail on their properties. The workshop
will occur on March 3 at the Alcorn County MSU Extension Office in
Corinth from 9 a.m. until approximately 3:30 p.m. Lunch will
be provided for those who preregister.
Topics will include wild turkey biology, beneficial habitat
management practices, food plot strategies, and case studies from
properties which have managed successfully for these species.
Discussions of predators and predator management will also be
featured, including how-to demonstrations of important trapping
