“Got Fish?” Set for January 26th at MS Museum of Natural Science
Jackson, Miss. -The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks' Museum of Natural Science will host the annual "Got FISH?" fishing seminar program, moderated by "Mississippi Outdoors" TV show co-host Randy Newell, on January 26, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The "Got Fish?" event is included in the regular Museum admission fee. Magnolia Crappie Club members will discuss lure selection and knot tying. Bring the family to experience SCUBA divers feeding the fish in the aquariums.
"Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, don't miss this group of successful anglers and biologists. They will answer questions concerning fish, fishing, fishing techniques and may even share the location of some secret fishing spots!" explains Aquatic Biologist Karen Dierolf.
According to the Mississippi Division of Tourism, fishing is one of the most popular outdoor activities in Mississippi. The state's mild climate promotes a year-round season for the many game fish that thrive here. "'Got Fish?' has become one of MDWFP's most popular seminar series. "This annual program provides useful information for seasoned as well as novice fishermen," says Larry Castle, Director of Technical Programs for the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.
