VEC to Host Youth Rock Art Program

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) Visitor Education Center (VEC) will host a youth art program on Saturday, October 13 at 2 p.m. This program will allow youth to paint holiday-themed decorations using outdoor paints and garden stones. Youth can create pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons, or monsters. Participants should dress accordingly for these crafts.

The program is free with the price of admission. Admission is $2.50 for adults ages 18-59, and $2.00 for youth ages 3-17 and adults over the age of 60. Supplies will be provided, and space is limited. For additional information or to pre-register for the event, call the VEC at (662) 563-8068.

The VEC is part of the MDWFP North Mississippi Fish Hatchery and is located at Exit 233 east off I-55.
