First Day Hikes

What better way to kick off the New Year than by being active outdoors? Come enjoy the beauty of Mississippi's natural resources and discover the local treasure of a state park you and your family can return to throughout the year.

First Day Hikes offers individuals and families an opportunity to begin the New Year rejuvenating and connecting with the outdoors by taking a healthy hike on Monday, January 1, 2018. The distance and rigor vary from park to park, but all hikes aim to create a fun experience for the whole family. Details about hike difficulty, terrain and tips regarding proper clothing are listed on the America's State Parks website visit for more information .
