MDWFP Invites Youth to Katfishin’ Kids at Turcotte Education Center

JACKSON – To kick off National Fishing and Boating Week, youth 15 years and younger are invited to Katfishin’ Kids at the Turcotte Education Center on Saturday, June 3 starting at 6:30 a.m. This free event provides a good opportunity for young anglers to fish a lake that is well stocked with catfish which are typically easy to catch. Fishing poles and bait will be provided, and families are encouraged to bring a container to take home their catch.  Turcotte Education Center is located on Hwy 43 approximately 7 miles south of Canton.

For more information about the youth fishing rodeo program, call the MDWFP Fisheries Bureau at (601) 432-2200.
