CANCELLED: THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES. We apologize for the inconvenience. The workshop will be rescheduled in the near future.

OVERVIEW:

Join MS Wildlife Rehab specialists on the museum's patio and make a concrete birdbath from leaves!

Songbirds love these shallow baths. We will also learn about different songbirds in our area and key items you need in your garden to bring in the birds.

Each registrant or family will have their own outdoor area to build their birdbath, so the workshop can be done in a socially-distanced way.

  • $35.00 includes museum admission and all materials
  • You will only need to bring your favorite leaf. Make sure your leaf is at least 12 inches long. Elephant ears and banana tree leaves are great examples. Be creative!
  • bring a re-usable water bottle
  • no experience required
  • for teen and adult students
  • wear clothes that can get dirty

Space is limited.

About the Workshop’s Teachers:

Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation, Inc. (MWR) was founded in 1995 to meet the increasing need for wildlife assistance in north Mississippi. MWR is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization assisting hundreds of injured and orphaned wild birds.

MWR will be at the museum leading guests in making their own birdbaths to provide habitat enrichment for backyard wildlife.
