OVERVIEW:

Enjoy spooky science and unique, family-friendly fun at the 6th Annual "Park After Dark"!

We've partnered with the Mississippi Children’s Museum (MCM) and LeFleur’s Bluff State Park to host "Park After Dark". The museums are adjacent to one another at I-55 and Lakeland Drive at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park.

Experience "night at the museums" at this one-of-a-kind Halloween party! There isn't another event like it in Mississippi!

Create creepy crawly crafts, go trick-or-treating through both museums, and enjoy the evening’s activities while wearing your costumes at this spook-tacular event.

One night, one ticket, two museums! This event is not included with Museum Membership.

This year's theme at our museum is "Monsters: Real and Imagined" and includes:

  • Kid-friendly dinosaurs,
  • "Wild Rumpus" romp with the wild things,
  • Spooky science,
  • “Little Monsters” carnival games,
  • Moon observations with NASA’s friendly “werewolves”, and
  • Dr. Hendrixson‘s not-too-monstrous spiders!

Painted Faces by Emily Schmidt will also be at our museum. Emily's awesome face painting is not included with your Park After Dark ticket. Emily's unique designs are $6, $8, or $10. Cash or CC accepted.

PARKING AND TICKETS: Parking is available at both museums and Smith-Wills Stadium on Lakeland Drive. Law enforcement will direct parking. A shuttle bus will run continuously between all three locations.

Tickets are $9.00 per person and include parking/shuttle, entry into both museums, and all PAD activities.

Purchase advance tickets for $8.00 beginning in early October until October 26th at www.mschildrensmuseum.org. Those with pre-sale tickets can enter at 5:30 p.m.

Or, purchase at the door of either museum for $9 per person the evening of the event.

MCM, MMNS and LeFleur’s Bluff State Park seek to provide families with a safe and fun environment to celebrate fall festivities.
