Entering 1st-2nd Grade Camp: Session 1

Online Registration Limit:  16

Go Outdoors....Camp! (1st-2nd) is a partial day camp designed to support 1st-2nd Grade inquisitive minds and active nature! We will explore the outdoors, hike trails, and encounter live native animals. Join us for fun songs, crafts, and activities!

Safe COVID practices will be observed during camp. Masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times.

No food will be provided. All food brought from home MUST be NUT FREE. Please send campers with a lunch, two snacks, and reusable water bottle daily.

  • June 1-4, 2021
  • 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • $140.00 for Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation Members
  • $160.00 for non-members
  • Early drop off at 7:30 a.m. *Late pickup will result in late fees of $10.00 per 10 minutes*

ENTERING 3rd-4th Grade Camp: Session 1

(3rd-4th) engages young campers in a variety of outdoor nature activities including hiking, wetland exploration, arts and crafts, and outdoor skills (EX:  Archery).  Compare habitats and learn about the plants and animals living in them, net aquatic species, and track woodland animals.

Safe COVID practices will be observed during camp. Masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times.

No food will be provided. All food brought from home MUST be NUT FREE. Please send campers with a lunch, two snacks, and reusable water bottle daily.

  • June 14-17, 2021
  • 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Entering 5th-6th Grade Camp - Full

Online Registration Limit:  16

Go Outdoors...Camp! (Entering 5th-6th) engages young campers in a variety of nature activities including hiking, canoeing, archery, wetland exploration, and arts and crafts.  Campers will learn about habitats, natural resources, and have live animal encounters.

Safe COVID practices will be observed during camp. Masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times.

No food will be provided. All food brought from home MUST be NUT FREE. Please send campers with a lunch, two snacks, and reusable water bottle daily.

  • June 28-July 1, 2021
  • 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • $150.00 for Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation Members
  • $175.00 for non-members
  • Early Drop off at 7:30 a.m. *Late pickup will result in late fees of $10.00 per 10 minutes*

 

Jr. Naturalist Camp (Entering Grades 7, 8, 9)

Online Registration Limit:  8

Jr. Naturalist Camp (Entering Grades 7,8, 9) is an ecology-based camp that focuses on the identification, collection, and conservation of our native species.  On Monday-Wednesday, camp is from 8am-4pm. On Thursday, camp begins at 8am and campers will have an overnight* at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park. Campers need to be picked up on Friday by 9am. *(If possible following safe Covid-19 procedures). 

Safe COVID practices will be observed during camp. Masks are mandatory and must be worn at all times.

The only food provided will be dinner Thursday night and breakfast Friday morning. Please send campers with a lunch, two snacks, and a reusable water bottle daily. All food brought from home MUST be NUT FREE.

  • June 28-July 2, 2021
  • 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • $175.00 for Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation Members
  • $200.00 for non-members
  • Early drop off at 7:30 a.m. *Late pickup will result in late fees of $10.00 per 10 minutes*

 

Field Camp (Entering GRADES 10, 11, 12)

Online Registration LIMIT: 8

Field Camp (Grades 10, 11, 12) Field Camp is an ecology-based camp that focuses on the identification and conservation of our native species, as well as, exploring different career opportunities in the fields of conservation and research for students entering Grades 10-12. On Monday-Wednesday, camp is from 8am-4pm. On Thursday, camp begins at 8am and campers will have an overnight* at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park. Campers need to be picked up on Friday by 9 a.m. *(If possible following safe Covid-19 procedures).
