Wednesday, August 10, 2016
From The Mississippi Museum of Natural Science

SPEAKER: Mitchell Robinson, Conservation Education Manager, Strawberry Plains Audubon Center

As a Mississippi native, Mitchell is keenly aware of the need for diversity and broad reach to effectively address conservation initiatives crucial to the betterment and health of the state's landscapes and critical habitats. History holds tremendous weight in Mississippi, and fortunes and failures are uniquely tied to the land, specifically how we respect and misuse it.

Mitchell addresses being a conservationist in Mississippi, and how he believes one must comprehend the land-use history of a region to fully appreciate its role and to define the parameters of its biological integrity.
