VEC to Host Spring Break Programs

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) Visitor Education Center (VEC) adjacent to Enid Lake will host the spring break "Fish Predator Programs" March 12 - 15 at 2:00 p.m. each day.
Participants will learn about different birds, reptiles, and amphibians that prey on fish. Replica skulls, eggs, and talons of some of these predators will be available for youth to handle during the program.
Programs will be followed by an aquarium Q & A session where youth will learn to identify several species of freshwater fish native to Mississippi.
The programs are free with price of admission. Admission is $2.50 for adults ages 18-59, and $2.00 for youth ages 3-17 and adults over the age of 60. For additional information, call the VEC at (662) 563-8068.
The VEC is part of MDWFP North Mississippi Fish Hatchery and is located at Exit 233 east off I-55.
