Lake Lowndes State Park provides a complete recreational facility for individuals, families, and groups to enjoy the park. Lake Lowndes is located on a beautiful 150-acre lake. The park offers unlimited opportunities for fishing and camping, softball, tennis, football, and other organized sports. Mississippi University for Women (The "W") and Mississippi State University (MSU) are just a short drive to the west, making Lake Lowndes State Park the perfect place to stay during a football weekend at MSU or while visiting either campus.
A day-use entry fee is charged on a per vehicle basis. The Park is open every day of the year. The Park Office is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. For more information on Lake Lowndes State Park, please contact the Park Office at (662) 328-2110.
