IMBD

Gather for bird watching, nature hikes, and lots of hands-on activities. Join in the fun and help support migratory bird conservation. IMBD celebrates one of the most important and spectacular events in the Americas - bird migration.  Migrate to the Museum's grounds and learn to speak bird, build a recycled hummingbird feeder, enjoy a guided nature walk, and learn about birds of the rainforest at the Rainforest Adventure exhibit

Before heading to the Museum, consider meeting members of the Jackson Audubon Society at LeFleur's Bluff State Park Campground at 8:00 a.m. for a two-hour "Family Bird Walk" ($3 entry fee per vehicle). 

Regular Museum admission applies for IMBD: $6 adults; $4 youth ages 3-18; $5 senior citizens (60+); free for children under 3; free for Museum Members. IMBD activities at the Museum include:

  • Beaks and Feet
  • Wingspan Measuring
  • Bird Talk (learn to speak bird)
  • Build a Recycled Hummingbird Feeder (while supplies last)
