BECOME A MASTER NATURALIST

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 29, 2014

The 2014 Central Mississippi Master Naturalist Program will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, from May 6 to June 24, 2014 at the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science at 2148 Riverside Drive in Jackson. The Mississippi State University and Extension Service and Mississippi Museum of Natural Science are hosting the program.  

During the course, Master Naturalist candidates receive at least 40 hours of training in natural history, natural resource management, and environmental science. They also must complete 40 hours of volunteer service to meet certification requirements.

The course fee is $200, which includes program costs, educational materials, refreshments, and field trips. Class enrollment is limited. The registration deadline is April 29, 2014.  To register, please download the Master Naturalist Brochure 2014 and Registration Form and mail with a check to the address on the application form.
