MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE, FISHERIES, AND PARKS OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES 2019 GAME CHECK CONTEST NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
CONTEST DESCRIPTION AND TIMING: The Game Check Contest (the “Contest”) begins on 3/8/19 and ends on 5/1/19 (the “Contest Period”). For the Contest, individuals holding a Mississippi Hunting or Fishing License are asked to submit a registration form, Like the MDWFP Facebook Page, and like the Game Check Contest post on the MDWFP Facebook Page. An additional entry will be given to those who report a bagged turkey in the Game Check system. There will be one (1) winner who will receive a Super Black Eagle – Turkey Edition (the “SBE3”).
CONTEST SPONSOR AND ADMINISTRATOR: Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks
is the “Administrator” and is located at 1505 Eastover Dr., Jackson, MS 39211; 601-432-2400. The Foundation for Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries, & Parks located at 6311 Ridgewood Road, Jackson, MS 39211 and Dad’s Super Pawn located at 3125 25th Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501, are the “Sponsors” and are providing the SBE 3.
ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open only to individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older , who hold a Valid Mississippi Hunting & Fishing License and are legally allowed to own firearms in the State of Mississippi. Employees and members of the immediate family of employees of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks are not eligible. Immediate family means spouses, parents, children, siblings, and step-parents/children, siblings, whether or not living at the same residence.
HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Contest, entrants (“Entrants”) must –
- REGISTER WITH THE OFFICIAL GAME CHECK CONTEST FORM: Individuals meeting eligibility requirements must fill out and submit the Contest registration form.
- LIKE THE MDWFP FACEBOOK PAGE: Like the MDWFP Facebook page. Page must be liked prior to May 1, 2019.
- LIKE THE MDWFP OFFICIAL GAME CHECK CONTEST POST: Like the Game Check Contest post on the MDWFP Facebook page prior to May 1, 2019.
An additional entry will be given to those who REPORT A BAGGED TURKEY IN THE GAME CHECK SYSTEM: Register a turkey in the Game Check System prior to May 1, 2019.
All entries will be submitted digitally. All entries must be submitted between 3/8/2019 and 5/1/2019. The administrator is not responsible for late or incomplete entries.
PRIZE: One (1) will be awarded to the selected winner. The prize will be in the form of a Benelli Super Black Eagle 3 – Turkey Edition Shotgun.
The winner will be required to complete, execute, and return within a specified time an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity Release or the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
GENERAL PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: The winner will be responsible for all federal, state, and local laws regarding firearm use for acceptance and use of the prize. Any and all costs associated with acceptance and use of the prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner. No transfer or substitution of the prize permitted, except by Administrator who reserves the right to substitute the prize, in whole or in part, for one of comparable or greater value.
AGREEMENT TO THE OFFICIAL RULES: By participating in the Contest, each Entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Administrator which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
RELEASE: By participating, Entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and Sponsor’s respective trustees, directors, officers, agents, affiliates, and employees (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all liability for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by their participation in the Contest, including, but not limited to, the unauthorized or illegal access to personally identifiable or sensitive information. Upon request of Sponsor, Entrant will provide an Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity Release. The winner will grant to Sponsor and its designees the right, except where prohibited by law, to use their name, likenesses, pictures, biographical information, written or oral statements, for advertising in promoting the Sponsor, its products, websites, and/or this Contest or succeeding. Contest, in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification, or permission. Entries not complying with all rules are subject to disqualification.
WINNER/RULES: For the names of the winners and/or a copy of these Official Rules, mail a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, 1505 Eastover Dr., Jackson, MS 39211. Specify “Marketing Department” and “Winner’s List” or “Official Rules” on the request.
VIOLATIONS: Administrator may, in its sole determination, disqualify anyone it believes has not complied with the Rules, may be tampering or acting in a non-sportsmanlike, disruptive, abusive, harassing, or threatening manner.
CHANGES: Administrator may, in its sole determination, cancel or modify any aspect of the Contest or Rules for any reason which the Administrator, in its sole opinion, deems affects the Contest, execution or administration of the Contest (whether tampering, technical, or human error, application of new or existing laws/regulations, or other issues).
