Weekly Duck Migration Forecast
2012/13 Migration Reports
Throughout autumn and winter 2012/13, Long Point Waterfowl will
be posting weekly dabbling
duck migration forecasts for the Mississippi and Atlantic
Flyways. These reports are based on the same Weather Severity
Index that was used to generate reports on our website in
2011/12.
The forecasts are based on research conducted by a Long Point Waterfowl Scientist (Dr. Michael Schummer), Long Point Waterfowl graduate students, and partners throughout North America (e.g., Mississippi State University).
The weekly migration forecasts will be updated each Monday morning and are the only science-based migration forecasts available online.
