Hunting Seasons & Bag Limits

Hunting seasons and bag limits in Mississippi are carefully managed to maintain healthy wildlife populations and ensure sustainable hunting practices. The state offers a variety of hunting opportunities throughout the year, with seasons typically based on the specific species being pursued. Bag limits, which specify the number of animals an individual hunter can harvest during a particular seasons, vary by species and location to prevent overharvesting.

It's crucial for hunters to consult the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) for the most up-to-date information on hunting seasons and bag limits, as they may change from year to year.
