Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks hosted a grand opening ceremony at Clarkco State Park to officially kick-off and celebrate Mississippi’s newest way to experience the outdoors through Tentrr’s fully outfitted campsites. Ahead of the spring season, travelers and campers looking for a different type of lodging option can now choose from fifty-six different campsites, across eight different parks including: Percy Quinn State Park, Tishomingo State Park, Buccaneer State Park, JP Coleman State Park, LeFleur’s Bluff State Park, Clarkco State Park, Roosevelt State Park, and Wall Doxey State Park.

“Mississippi is a beautiful state, and we are excited to be working with Tentrr to provide both our residents and visitors from out of state with a refreshing and effortless way to get outside.” said Andre Hollis, Director of Park Operations. “Seeing these sites setup here at Clarkco State Park is only a taste of what is happening throughout our beautiful parks across the entire state.”

All available Tentrr sites come fully equipped with a spacious, safari-style, canvas-walled tent atop a raised platform located within the State Parks to ensure maximum guest experience with minimal impact to the environment. The sites are also outfitted with a queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress, a heating source, Adirondack chairs, a fire pit, a grill, and a picnic table with storage and benches. This allows campers to spend less time prepping and packing, and more time enjoying the outdoors.

This partnership is an environmentally friendly way to provide outdoor experiences for anyone visiting Mississippi's beautiful public lands. Mississippi State Parks worked with Tentrr to find additional camping spots throughout these parks that would better utilize our resources while not limiting access to any permitted areas. Tentrr funds 100% of the build of their campsites, employs local residents to operate them, and part of the proceeds from the campers go right back to the state in order to help invest in the future of Mississippi’s outdoor recreation.

“Mississippi provides beautiful, ideal camping conditions on a year-round basis,” said Todd King, VP Marketing of Tentrr. “As we continue through the season, we are excited for the great people of Mississippi to have access to the Tentrr experience, and the amazing natural resources Mississippi has to offer.”

Reservations are now available to book with sites starting at $75 per night. To make a reservation, visit www.mdwfp.com/tentrr or tenttr.com. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance.
