New Opportunity for Senior Adult Hunters

MDWFP is excited to announce a new deer hunting opportunity for senior adults (age 65+) to participate in a senior-only WMA Draw Hunt! Applications will launch on the WMA Draw page on November 1, 2022, and close November 15, 2022.
When will the hunt be: January 19-20, 2023
Where: Mahannah WMA and Phil Bryant WMA
What: Weapon of choice
How many people can apply with me: You can apply with one hunting partner. He or she must also be 65+. You will not be able to change your hunting partner once you have applied.
Can I bring anyone with me on the hunt: If you will not be bringing a hunting partner, you can bring one non-hunting* partner.
How do I apply: You can apply by visiting the MDWFP Draw Application page (click here). To apply:
-> You must be 65+
-> You must have either a Senior Exempt License or a WMA User Permit
Will the roads will be open: Yes
What vehicles (trucks, ATVs, electric bikes, etc.) are allowed for this weekend: Vehicles are allowed on main roads and ATVs on ATV-only trails.
Will I be assigned a unit: No
*Non-Hunting partner - can be any age, must purchase a WMA user permit. There can only be two individuals per hunt. This can either be you and a hunting partner, or you and a non-hunting partner.
