Some bass are preparing to move into the shallow coves but, some are still in deeper water. Try using different color spinner baits and crank baits in various depths to target these fish.
Try fishing near standing structure along the dam around 4 - 8 ft with worms or crickets.
Some crappie have also been reported to have moved to shallower waters and are being caught near woody structure using jigs and minnows.
Try for catfish along creek channels and deep structure. Brush piles in 8 - 10 ft of water that were added in January should be holding catfish this time of year. Tight lining with stink baits, liver or worms are best ways to harvest late winter catfish.
