Hancock County volunteer hunter education instructors held their first ever Conservation Officer Appreciation Day in on May 5. Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks conservation officers, biologists, and other personnel from the Southeast Region office and their families were treated to a relaxing day of fun at Brookewood tree farm in north Hancock County.

The event was sponsored by Wildlife Mississippi (wildlifemiss.org) which has protected, restored, or enhanced 496,000 acres in Mississippi, and Judd Brooke, past President of Wildlife Mississippi.
