The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Park’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and LeFleur’s Bluff State Park are excited to share a weekend of events. Spend your Friday night enjoying a night under the stars listening to classical music, and join us again on Saturday for the perfect summer kick-off.

April 19: Moonlight, Music, and Meteors (7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.)  - Experience a night under the stars with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra and area physicists, astronomers, and NASA Solar System Ambassadors during the Lyrid meteor shower at “The Den” in beautiful LeFleur’s Bluff State Park! Tickets are $20 at the door. This project is supported in part by funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.

April 20: CARA’s 15th Annual Dog Days of Summer ( 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)  - Bring your entire family, including your pets, for a day full of fun activities such as a children’s carnival, petting zoo, dog training demonstrations, pet parade, and more. The event is located in the Mayes Lake area of LeFleur’s Bluff State Park.

Please note the areas where these events are taking place are not affected by the recent storm damage and flooding and the event schedules will proceed as planned.
