"Wild Wonders: Painting Natural Mississippi"

Dive into the world of art and nature at MDWFP's Mississippi Museum of Natural Science in Jackson with this new series of painting classes for teens and adults led by local artist and Pacesetter Gallery owner Keri Davis.

Each month, we will explore different habitats and animals of Mississippi, sharing their beautiful colors through paint on your canvas!

Keri has 30 years experience in teaching and creating art and is looking forward to painting with you.

Our first class will be:

"Cypress Hideaway"

  • Cost for this class: $25 per person.
  • Limited to 30 participants.

This class is appropriate for all skill levels, ages 12 through adult, and includes Museum admission, plus all materials and instruction.

What to Expect:

  • Learn how to block in an underpainting.
  • Create a stunning 14"x11" cypress waterscape that captures the essence of Mississippi's natural beauty.
