Mark your calendars for the 2025 Gamebird Workshop in Shannon, Mississippi!
Whether you're a hunter, landowner, or outdoor enthusiast, this is your chance to learn more about managing gamebirds in Mississippi from the best in the industry. Hosted by Mississippi State University Gamebird Program and MDWFP in coordination with Mississippi State University Extension Services, Quail Forever, and National Wild Turkey Federation.

Friday Evening will be a casual social with a Q&A panel with representatives from MDWFP, MSU Gamebird Program, National Wild Turkey Federation, and Quail Forever. Enjoy a nice dinner, drinks, raffle prizes, and mingling with other like minded individuals! Meet local and regional gamebird and habitat experts and interact with representatives from Quail Forever; MSU Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture; MSU Extension Service; and the MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks and other conservation organizations.
Saturday will be a workshop layout with talks being given by different industry professionals as well as a prescribed fire demonstration in the field. Come ready to learn all about effective habitat management and be prepared to ask questions on ways you can incorporate these practices in your own management.
