Enjoy spooky science and family fun at "Park After Dark" hosted by MDWFP's Museum of Natural Science (MMNS) and the Mississippi Children's Museum (MCM)!
The museums are adjacent to one another near LeFleur’s Bluff State Park in Jackson’s LeFleur Museum District at I-55 and Lakeland Drive.
Create creepy crawly crafts, go trick-or-treating through both museums, experience the Spotter-the-Otter Trail, and enjoy the evening’s activities while wearing your costumes at this spook-tacular event.
Travel safely between both museums using Spotter’s Adventure Trail in the LeFleur's Bluff Complex.
- Celebrate fall festivities in a safe and fun environment.
- Visitors of all ages are encouraged to wear costumes.
- Bring a flashlight or two and a bag or bucket to collect your candy.
- Activities and decorations at both museums are suitable for all ages.
TICKETS:
- Tickets will be available at the door of both museums during the event.
- Enjoy both award-winning museums for $12 per person for Members and Non-Members. You must have a wristband to participate in Playground activities.
- Please check-in at MMNS or the MCM.
PARKING and TRAVEL BETWEEN MUSEUMS:
- Both museum parking lots and the playground parking lot will be available.
- Drivers may drop their guests at the front door of either museum then find parking.
- Overflow parking is in the northbound lane of Museum Blvd. Please use the sidewalks to safely enter the LeFleur’s Bluff Complex to the west of the Den.
- No overflow parking at Smith Wills.
- Please use Spotter’s Adventure Trail to walk safely between the two museums.
ACTIVITIES AT MMNS INCLUDE:
- See a Jurassic Park themed Jeep
- Play Jurassic Park themed games and activities including: Feed the Dinosaurs, Tricera-toss, Paleo Plinko, Pterdactyl Flinger, and the Devonian Dive
- Explore exhibitor booths including Mississippi State University's High Voltage Lab!
