Trapping is a regulated activity that can help manage wildlife populations. Trapping can help regulate/restore wildlife populations, reduce crop damage, and mitigate human-wildlife conflicts.
Workshop highlights:
- Trapping Laws: When trapping seasons are open, and which types of traps are legal. Review the importance of effectively communicating trapping to others.
- Trapping Practices: Assess effective best management practices to ensure animal welfare, minimize non-target capture, boost public confidence in trapping, and maintain public support for wildlife management.
- Respect for Animals: How to safely and humanely handle/remove captured animals, and advantage/disadvantages of taking pictures.
