The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks operates two museums—the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science located in Jackson and the Visitor Education Center at the Bob Tyler Fish Hatchery in Enid. These institutions are committed to fostering an understanding of Mississippi’s diverse ecosystems and aim to enhance knowledge and appreciation of Mississippi’s natural heritage.

The Visitor Education Center (VEC) at the Bob Tyler Fish Hatchery in Enid provides an educational, entertaining experience that promotes freshwater fishing and encourages conservation  and stewardship of aquatic resources.
