Upcoming Workshops

Registration for each workshop opens 6 weeks prior to the workshop date. All workshops are from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

• Fall Workshop: October 12, 2025 (Digging in the Past) - Scouting America
  • Join us for a fossil-finding adventure and help your scout earn their "Digging in the Past" badge! We will explore the fossil wall, learn how ancient bones are turned into stone, and create our very own fossils!
• Winter Workshop: February 15, 2026 (Animal Observer) - Girl Scouts
  • Join us for a special workshop where scouts complete all the requirements to earn their "Animal Observer" badge.
    We'll spend the day exploring our museum's exhibits and grounds to learn how to spot local wildlife and understand their habitats. Scouts will practice using observation skills, learn how to responsibly watch animals in the wild, and discover the importance of protecting the animals that live around us.
• Spring Workshop: May 10, 2026 (My Tiger Jungle) - Scouting America
  • Join us for an immersive, hands-on adventure designed to help Tiger Cubs complete the requirements for their My Tiger Jungle adventure badge! This program is perfect for young explorers who want to discover the sights and sounds of nature while learning how to protect our local environment.
  • We will be embarking on a guided "1-foot hike" to discover the tiny wonders of the forest floor, sharpening our listening skills to identify different creatures by their unique calls and chirps, and identifying the several animals that call our local habitats home.
• Summer Workshop: August 2, 2026 (Outdoor Adventurer)- Girl Scouts
  • Join us for an exciting day where scouts will complete all the requirements for their “Outdoor Adventurer” badge! We will be exploring nature on the Museum’s trails, learning key outdoor skills, and playing lots of fun games.
