The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’(MDWFP) Mississippi Museum of Natural Science (MMNS) invites you to get ready for a wild day of family fun at the 25th Annual NatureFEST on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. While the museum was established in 1932, this year marks the 25th anniversary of its move to LeFleur’s Bluff State Park. “NatureFEST is always one of our most exciting events, but this year is especially meaningful as we celebrate 25 years of connecting families to Mississippi’s wild side at LeFleur’s Bluff,” said Museum Director Angel Rohnke. Along with NatureFEST activities, visitors can also explore the Mindbender Mansion exhibit, walk the Dino Trail, and play on the LeFleur’s Bluff Playground. The event and exhibit are included with Museum admission or MMNS Foundation Membership.

NatureFEST highlights include:

Wildlife Encounters and Behind-the-Scenes Science: Meet a Eurasian Lynx, Macaw, Three-Banded Armadillo, and birds of prey with Wild Acres MS and Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center (animal appearances subject to change). Explore the Museum’s labs and scientific collections, home to over two million specimens, and meet MMNS scientists.

Outdoor Adventures and Food Trucks: Climb the rock wall, conquer the obstacle course, take on the soccer wall, and explore the Dinosaur and Nature Trails. Refuel with tasty eats from Barbecue SHINE, Skenny Burgers, SnoBiz, and Spotter's Snack Shack (food not included with admission).
