The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks invites you to grab your fishing poles and enjoy a fun day at Neshoba County Lake in Philadelphia, MS! Anglers 15 years and younger are invited to fish for catfish during the youth fishing rodeo on Saturday, September 14, 2024, beginning at 7:00 a.m.  Participants will receive goodies and compete for prizes.  Fishing rodeos provide a great opportunity to introduce youth to fishing in a controlled, safe environment that is well stocked with catfish.

Youth fishing rodeos feature educational activities focusing on fish, fishing, and conservation provided by biologists from our Fisheries Bureau and Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, along with volunteer anglers. Additionally, our Law Enforcement Bureau provides boating safety information.

Due to the fishing rodeo, the boat ramp will be closed on Saturday, September 14, and will re-open on Sunday, September 15.

Neshoba County Lake is located 7-miles southeast of Philadelphia. For detailed directions visit our website at: Neshoba County Lake | Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (mdwfp.com)
