Golf

The Dogwoods Golf Course at Hugh White State Park takes full advantage of the natural beauty surrounding Grenada Lake. Deep woods enclose rolling fairways leading to large, inviting greens. This championship 18-hole course features a variety of tee boxes, giving each hole a different look and play. The hilly layout demands sharp skills and accurate ball-striking. A nature lover's course. The Dogwoods was carved out of the forest, with only necessary clearing. The Dogwoods Pro Shop accepts tee time reservations up to two weeks in advance and may be reached by calling (662) 226-4123.

Water Activities
Boat Launching

Grenada Lake is recognized throughout the South as a hot spot for crappie, and is also stocked with bass, bream, and catfish. The boat launching ramp is open year-round. The boat ramp at Carver Point is closed.

Alert: Grenada Lake water levels are controlled by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. Generally, the lake is lowered for flood control starting on July 1 to January 1 and starts its rise back to recreation pool level. At Hugh White State Park, dependent upon rainfall, generally the boat ramps are not usable November 1 to March 1 of each year. Many boat launch ramps are inoperable during this time; however, there are always low water ramps on the lake that are useable and available. You can view current lake levels at link below or by contacting the park office at (662) 226-4934.
