Traditional Primitive Tent Camping:
There are 50 primitive campsites located in a wooded area with direct access to Lake Tangipahoa. These campsites are available for tent camping. Water and restrooms are available nearby. Some sites feature a fire ring, barbecue grill, picnic table, and permanent lantern post. Primitive campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Leading the way in ingenuity, Percy Quin State Park Staff is proud to be the first Mississippi State Park to offer Premium Primitive Tent Camping Sites! These elevated 16ft x 10ft wooden platforms keep you and your belongings off the ground while providing guests with better sleeping accommodations by removing bumpy, uneven surfaces. Premium Privative Platforms make it easy to position your tent to catch spectacular sunsets and sunrises over Lake Tangipahoa. Unlike traditional primitive camping sites, premium primitive tent campsites can be reserved in advance! Call the park office for more details. (601) 684-3938
