Report Waterfowl Die Offs
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks tries to document disease outbreaks in wild waterfowl in Mississippi. If you notice sick, dead, or dying waterfowl please make a note of where they are located so a MDWFP officer or biologist can locate the birds for testing. Other things to note are the species of waterfowl, how many are present, and any symptoms being displayed by waterfowl that appear to be sick. Please call the MDWFP Wildlife Bureau at (601) 432-2199 as soon as possible so someone can collect the birds for sampling.
