Turkey Season is right around the corner for the Magnolia State, which means it's time to gear up for the gobble! Whether you are making new memories with friends or sharing tall tales from the past, we hope you enjoy your time afield this season!

Youth season opens March 8, 2025
Regular season opens March 15, 2025
Secure your licenses and permits:
Create an account in the new license system to access key features this season, and to purchase any required licenses and permits prior to heading to the woods.

Mandatory Harvest Reporting:
Like normal, hunters are required to submit their Game Check Reports by 10:00 PM the day of the harvest. However, hunters will need to create an account within our new license system in order to access Game Check from the new mobile app or mdwfp.com.
New MDWFP Mobile App:
Users will be required to download an entirely new app to access essential features this turkey season. The new app will offer an all-in-one app experience this season, allowing you to submit harvest reporting, check in and out of WMAs, and more all in one convenient place.
First time users will have to create an account with the new MDWFP License System; therefore, we suggest downloading the app and creating your account prior to heading to the woods.

WMA Check-In:
The old WMA Check-In App as well as the old MDWFP App are no longer operational! You will need to complete your WMA Check-In through the new MDWFP HuntFish App. Due to the new first-time login process, we suggest downloading the app and logging in prior to heading to the woods.

Youth and Secondary Profiles:
Users may link youth and other secondary profiles through the new license system allowing you to apply for Draw Hunts, submit harvest reporting, check in and out of WMAs, and more on their behalf.
Users on the MDWFP HuntFish app will be able to toggle between profiles allowing you to complete actions on various profiles attached to the Guardian account.
Non-Resident Public Land Draw:
Non-Residents planning to hunt open public land prior to April 1, must be drawn and secure a Public Land License Endorsement. Applications were conducted February 21 – 28. Applicants must create an account with the new MDWFP License System prior to applying.

Applications were conducted February 21-28 for WMA Turkey Draws, and can be completed through the MDWFP License System. Applicants must create an account with the new MDWFP License System prior to applying.
