Fishing Report - Updated 6/25/2024
Bass | Bass are in their typical summertime patterns and the bite is fair. Texas-rigged plastics, shakeyheads, and topwater lures are best overall on deeper points and drop-offs. Topwater action is being reported during low-light hours with live bait. |
Crappie | Crappie fishing is continuously slow, as they are post-spawn. Try around deep brush and suspended under Shad. Locating deeper cover is a must this time of year. |
Bream | The bream are sporadically spawning and the bite has been fair to good recently. Many smaller bluegill are being caught. Shallow cover and off the points are productive. Crickets fished under a cork for bluegill and worms for redear have been the hot baits lately. |
Catfish | A few catfish are being caught in the pond, but the bite has been relatively slow. Tight-lining liver and/or worms off the main lake earthen piers in both the pond and the big lake. Late evenings and early mornings are the best times to fish for them. |
Reminder: All Walleye caught must be released immediately.
