Fishing Report - Updated 2/19/2025
Bass | The bass bite is somewhat tough right now. The temperature and weather fluctuations have resulted in an unpredictable bite. Some anglers are having success, while others are struggling to even find fish. Best depths will range from 10 - 25 ft until the temperature steadily increases. Warmer days will push some fish shallow around the points and flooded timber. If this occurs, Alabama-rigs, suspending jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits will be good bait choices to find active fish. |
Crappie | Crappie bite is slow. No recent reports from anglers. Target cover along drop-offs in the 10 – 20 ft. depth range and along the creek channel. Both hair jigs and minnows may get you some bites. |
Bream | For bream, target the points and the earthen piers as fish will move up and down them depending of the water temps. Any deeper cover around those points should hold fish. The deep flats along the northwest side of the lake are also popular for bream anglers. Tight lining worms is typically the best technique this time of year. |
Catfish | The catfish bite is still slow. Anglers typically use techniques like tightlining liver and/or worms off the wooden and earthen piers in both the pond and the big lake. |
Rainbow Trout are still being caught by various anglers in the pond. Anticipate that bite to slow down in the upcoming weeks.
Reminder: All Walleye caught must be released immediately.
