Species | Detail |

Bass | The bass bite is picking up, and fish are transitioning to spawning patterns. A productive place to fish may be the creek channel, but don’t overlook the laydowns on the deep banks adjacent to the channel. Soft plastics, Jig-n-pig combos, Alabama-rigs, rattletraps, spinnerbaits, and shakeyhead worms will out produce most other baits. |
Crappie | The crappie bite is fair and starting to pick up. Anglers are targeting the brush along the creek channel and adjacent. Targeting structure will be the best location to find the fish especially in shallow areas where fish may be moving to feed. Jigs or jig/minnow combinations will be the best bait choices. |
Bream | Bream bite is slow and most likely won't pick up for a few more weeks. Target bream around any woody cover in the 6 – 10 ft. depth range. Tight lining worms or crickets is a good technique. |
Catfish | No reports from anglers catching catfish. Target the creek channel and around the deeper points with night crawlers, cut shad, and/or liver. Tight lining is the most popular technique for catfish. |
