How do I connect my existing MDWFP profile to the new system?

Already have an account with us? Don’t worry – You will have the opportunity to connect your new License System account with any current profiles you have already created.

Will my old MDWFP app still work?

No, your existing MDWFP Mobile App and WMA Check-In App will no longer work. You can find out more information on our new MDWFP Mobile App and where to download it by clicking here.

How do I submit Game Check?

You can submit Game Check reporting through our new MDWFP License Portal. Find out more information by clicking here.

How do I submit my WMA Check In?

We have launched a brand new MDWFP Mobile App that merges the previous WMA Check-In App with all the essential tools of the MDWFP Mobile App offering users an all-in-one experience.

Will my auto-renewal settings transfer to the new system?

No, if you were previously signed up for auto renewals in our old license system, you will not be signed up for auto-renewal in the new system. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we look forward to being able to offer this feature to our license holders again in the future.  

Will I have to receive all new hard cards?

No, your current MDWFP Licenses and Permits are valid until their issued expiration date. Upon expiration, you may then purchase your new license and privilege and receive new hard cards.  

How can I retrieve my Hunter Education number?

If you are having trouble remembering your Hunter Education number, you can find your number, download a free temporary card, or purchase a replacement card on our website by clicking here.

How do I apply for Draw Hunts?

With the launch of our new license system, you will be able to apply for Wildlife Management Draws along with other permits and privileges.

When is the new WMA Draw Hunt application period?

For this year only, due to transitioning to our new license system, the dates for the WMA Draw have been adjusted to February 21 – 28.  Click here to learn more.

Is the Pelahatchie Bay application period also affected by the transition?

For this year only, due to transitioning to our new license system, the application period for the Pelahatchie Bay Alligator Draw will take place March 3-14, 2025. Click here to learn more.

Will the old app still work after February 18?

No, the old MDWFP Mobile App and WMA Check In app will no longer work once we launch our new license system. In their place, we will have a new, all inclusive app for you to easily access key MDWFP features. Click here to find more information.

Will I still be able to check in to WMA’s through the WMA Check-In app?

You will be able to utilize the WMA Check In mobile app until February 21, at 8:00 AM. At that point, the WMA Check In process will be migrated to our new all inclusive MDWFP mobile app. You may always complete an in person check in process at the WMA check station.
