Pardon Our Progress!

We're paving the way to enhance your experience

Pardon Our Progress! Exciting changes are underway at LeFleur’s Bluff.

We are thrilled to announce the next phase in the development of LeFleur's Bluff: the paving of the road from the joint entrance off Museum Boulevard to LeFleur’s Bluff Playground and the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science.

This project will pave the way for a smoother, more enjoyable experience for all our visitors, but it will take a little time - up to three months.

During this time, the joint entrance will be closed, but don’t worry, the Museums and the Playground will remain open as usual!

LeFleur's Bluff is located on the shared campus between MDWFP's Mississippi Museum of Natural Science (MMNS) and the Mississippi Children's Museum (MCM) at I-55 and Lakeland Drive in Jackson, Mississippi, and includes the LeFleur’s Bluff Playground, Spotter’s Adventure Trail, Spotter’s Snack Shack, The Den, and Regal’s Landing.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Playground Visitors: You may park in the MCM or MMNS lots and walk to the Playground or park along Museum Boulevard and enter the Playground through the gate facing Museum Boulevard.
  • MMNS Visitors: Please use the temporary entrance just past the joint entrance on Museum Boulevard. Buses will be directed to our employee parking lot past the temporary entrance off Museum Boulevard for easy access.
  • MCM Visitors: The MCM entrance will remain open.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to enhance your experience.

Funding for the LeFleur’s Bluff Complex was provided by the Mississippi legislature and private donors secured by the Mississippi Children’s Museum in partnership with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science.

Thank you for your continued support, and we can’t wait for you to visit!
