Camp Host Positions
Camp hosts receive valuable training from park staff and participate in a passionate team working to manage and conserve Mississippi’s natural resources in exchange for 24 weekly volunteer service hours. Parks provide hosts with an RV site during their host placement. Host sites have water and electrical hookups, and many also have sewer hookups. Hosts are required to maintain these campsites in an orderly manner.
Camp Host responsibilities vary from park to park. Generally, Camp Hosts assist Park Staff with maintaining facilities and grounds by performing campsite occupancy checks, cleaning campsites after visitors' departures, collecting trash from cabins/campsites, refreshing trash bins in the day-use area, blowing off RV pads, and assisting with other park projects as needed.
